Taman Safari Cisarua Day Trip

Hello guys, it's been a while. We're entering the second week of May, time does fly huh? I'm getting sleepless lately because i'm waiting for something huge to come. I can't stop wishing to get the good news soon like arghhh so frustrating!

I've been trying to be productive but seems like i can't beat the laziness, sorry not sorry hahaha. Anyways, i'm already done with chapter 2 of my thesis, so i guess i'll just blog. Never thought working on thesis could be this easy hahaha please no revision please please please *fingercrossed*

Actually, i plan not to blog about this trip because i don't feel like writing (again) but i couldn't find much about Taman-Safari-Cisarua-Experience except from the official site so i feel like contributing to the literatures (i found this word sounds smart but i guess wrong  usage lol). The thing is i always google the place i wanted to go before i actually go there just to broaden my knowledge (the fck?!) hahaha i mean like to have some ideas and what to expect when i get there. Yes, i'm that well-organized :) HAHAHA

So, first thing first. You have to go there at the right time, avoid weekends or public holidays (duh!) but the place is really massive i believe it won't get over crowded since there are so many different places to explore so probably it can only get a little bit "uncomfortable" during the animal shows. Please know that there's specific time to go up and down (puncak-jakarta) on saturday, sunday, and public holidays to avoid traffic. This is the schedule that is stated on the brochure but you can go and check here should there be any changes.
Saturday :                                                                 Sunday / Public Holiday :
Jakarta - Puncak = 9 AM - 11.30 AM                 Jakarta - Puncak = 9 AM - 11.30 AM
Puncak - Jakarta = 3 PM - 5 PM                           Puncak - Jakarta = 3 PM - 6 PM

Hmm that's weird because when i went back from puncak around 7 PM the road was still closed? Let's leave it that way hahaha. Just make sure that you check the schedule before you go. Ok, to begin with, my bf suggested to leave at 5 AM (?!?!!) but then we departed around 10 AM and when we got into the car, we heard from the radio that the traffic is so bad you may get stuck like 3 or 4 hours. My bf scolded me he kept saying 'i told ya!!' but stubborn me just being stubborn i insisted to keep on going and i was right! We got there around 12 PM as i predicted. Sorry dude, a lady never gets wrong.

Oh yes, i only went there with my bf. I've always prefer to go on a smaller group you know, so there's smaller chance that everyone will disagree with my itinerary hahaha. Let's get back on track. I went there on long weekend so i've anticipated the traffic jam but turned out it only got jammed after we exit the toll. Thanks to the goddamn Waze!! we took the alternative way to Cisarua and believe me when i say that is the deadliest, suckiest route ever! I would never ever go through there anymore! The road is so small, it can only fit one car at a time, i feel like we can fall from the cliff anytime! Well, i might be exaggerating but hell it's scary.

Long story short, we arrived at Taman Safari Cisarua. We paid IDR 150,000 each and IDR 15,000 for the car.  Price is different with international visitors. I just found out that it's cheaper to buy from tour agent but make sure it's legit. So after you pay you will get a ticket and map. Make sure to check the show times because you don't wanna miss it. Don't lose the ticket , you will use it at amusement park.

Your adventure in Taman Safari will begin to enter the forest. Beforehand, you can go to the toilet near the entrance, fyi it took us almost an hour to go around the forest. They also provide bus if you don't drive so don't worry. So yeah, like any other safaris you will find various animals from around the world. You can also feed them! You will find small stalls selling carrot on your way. I got 2 bundles for IDR 10,000 but i think you can still bargain.

i think hippos are the scariest animal in the world after insects
can you spot the black jaguar sleeping?
I didn't take too many pictures because i was so busy feeding the animals. You can feed deers, llamas, zebras, even bulls! I wonder why bulls eat carrots. So, my bf was super terrified of the bulls he said 'what if the bulls attack or scratch the car bla bla bla' i said bacot hahaha and then i asked him to take video of me feeding the bulls (while driving at the same time! lol) when i'm done i took over his phone and kept on recording. I said look at that huge one! And when the bull passed by i remember i screamed, i don't know it was over excitement or i was scared that the horn might hit the car. I think my bf went a little to the right in reflect then we went off the road and the tire got stucked!! Imagine, stuck in the car with a group of bulls outside! hahaha we got panicked, we tried to call the office but they're not helping. At the end a car pulled over and 'rescued' us. I wish i can show you guys the video! HAHAHA i can't stop laughing

After driving around, we went to the amusement park area. They got restaurants there but i already had my lunch before so didn't buy anything. A hotdog only costs around IDR 15,000 if i'm not mistaken. From the parking lot we walked up and stopped at Baby Zoo. This is where you can find baby animals and take pictures with them, i did not thou. I believe photos with tiger, lion, orang utan, etc costs IDR 25,000 and for snake IDR 20,000.

After that we went to watch the Various Animals show and i shed a tear (always!). I don't know what is wrong with me but i found the performance (or maybe the safari itself) amused me. You know it was my birthday that day and it feels good to be somewhere different every once in a while. So yeah, we continued to explore again. We were in a hurry because it's already 3 PM by then and like i told you before the place is huge! They still have the reptiles, birds, primates, nocturnal animals, and pinguins! Oh, how i love pinguins!
just how adorable!!
We've explored most of the place (except the waterfall! *sob*) and then we watched the dolphin show, my excitement kinda faded already hahaha that was the last show of the day. It's around 5 PM, the park was almost close so we hurried back to the amusement park since we haven't tried any of the attractions. We only got to try the coaster (boo!), that tower that goes up and down (50smthg M high!!), hmm i guess that was it hahaha. Not so bad for IDR 150,000. You can play anything you want inside but some need extra charge like the 8D theatre, waterpark, the train (to go around if you don't want to walk), feeding pinguins (IDR 100,000!!), etc.

haunted house anyone??

They also have night safari, i believe you only need to add up IDR 70,000 to continue the journey. From Taman Safari Cisarua we made our way to Cimory Mountain View which is only a few kms away. The food was just okay but i'm always looking forward to shop at the gift shop! That pretty much sums up my day. I truly had a blast and i hope you guys will too! XO
*peace* so i look like a nice person HAHA

Hong Kong Day 4 - Australia Dairy Co and DISNEYLAND!

We've finally come to the last entry of my Hong Kong trip diary. How's the journey been so far?!?? Before we start up i'm going to talk about my 21st birthday which was YESTERDAY! Happy birthday to me! hahaha i truly had a blast yesterday!! Probably that was the best birthday celebration ever. I went to Taman Safari Indonesia and i'm totally impressed with everything! We'll discuss it later on my next post. Talking about birthday, this year i feel like the birthday wishes are getting lesser and lesser. It's not like i'm expecting but don't you just miss those days when you just receive texts from unknown number wishing you a happy birthday? I used to count how many texts i got at the end of the night haha. These days thou, people only comment on one of your social medias and probably only type hbd or whatever and then that's it. You just reply with thanks and the conversation ends. Hell i miss the old eras.

So, save the best for the last, right? On our last day we went to DISNEYLAND!! Beforehand, we had our breakfast at a cha caan teng, it's a Hong Kong style tea restaurant. When you say cha caan teng then Australia Dairy Company should come up one the top of your list. It's said to be the most crowded cha chaan teng in Hong Kong and it's true. When we got there around 9 AM, there were about 20 people in front of us but we got in pretty quick because i think a group of people just left so there's enough space for us. I mean, we went ahead the people that queued before us but i guess we were just lucky. Like any other restaurants in Hong Kong expect attitude, partly rude service, and chaotic ambience. You don't need to look at the menu when you come here, you'll find everyone else eating the same couple dishes. I had the morning set (HKD32) consisted of buttered toast, scrambled eggs, macaroni soup with ham, tea and i added steamed egg puddings? I forgot what it was.

Again, i must say that Australia Dairy co is overrated. Sorry if i ruined your expectation but yeah, i like the scrambled eggs, they are fluffy and tasty. Other than that are just okay. Macaroni soup is a little bit plain, milk tea is very thick and bitter, for the pudding you can still taste like a slight raw eggs (?) i mean 'amis'.

After breakfast we headed to Disneyland. We took MTR to Sunny Bay and then continue with a special train to Disneyland which is designed cutely. I honestly liked USS better but i still had a wonderful time at Disneyland. I mean how can you not?! I was holding my tears during the parade because it brings back so many old memories. It's like a dream came true i literally grew up watching them.

See how ugly the castle was?!? Anyway, i'm finally done with this post yay! I don't write a lot because i'm not so in the mood. Probably i'll add more texts later on hahaha thank you for reading if you wanna ask anything just go to my askfm see ya'll!!!

Hong Kong Day 3 - Ngong Ping 360, Citygate Outlet, Tim Ho Wan, Symphony of Lights, Argyle Centre

Hello again pretty people! How's life? I've been pretty occupied lately and i'm so happy for that. I just had my thesis consultation yesterday so i guess i have to (finally) start tonight hahaha. Something crazy happened last night!! You might have seen me changing hair color continuously over these past few months, thanks to this awesome hairstylist. She just asked me if i want to go to Japan on October to be her model and of course i would love to! I can't stop questioning why people keep 'using' me as their model because i'm truly aware that i'm not a model material like i'm not ten feet tall and weighed cotton. If you know what i mean hahaha. But as i much as i wanted to go to Japan, I can't confirm to her now because i have something coming up that i'm still not certain of. I just need to keep believing that the best is yet to come *fingercrossed*

Moving on to my Hong Kong trip, on the third day we went to Ngong Ping 360 (Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery) , my most favorite place during this trip! From Tsim Sha Tsui we took MTR to Tung Chung that will stop at Citygate Outlet. You can use cable car or bus to reach Ngong Ping 360, just follow the signs to the terminal if you want to get a bus (no.23) which is much cheaper and it's just about an hour ride. At that time the cable car was under maintenance so we took a bus going up there. The bus ride was insane! My friend immediately threw up when we arrived at Ngong Ping Village hahaha. There's nothing much to tell since i just explore around and enjoying the view and having some peaceful moment hahaha so i guess some photos will do,yeah?

Ngong Ping Village

Shameless selfie. That's just how happy i was.

Heading to Po Lin Monastery
Beautiful flowers <3

Afterwards, we went shopping at Citygate Outlet. As i mentioned before there's not much to shop there because they're not like crazy cheap. However the sporting goods like Nike, Adidas, New Balance got some decent things. Giordano and Esprit are not so bad as well. I can't listed them down because it's more to personal preferences but please don't miss On Pedder Outlet!

From Tung Chung we took MTR to Central, IFC Mall to try the famous Tim Ho Wan (now open at PIK) ! The queue was not very long unlike the night before when i went there and they're already close at 8 PM so i just had the famous pork bun for takeaway. We had difficulties to find the place because the mall is huge! So easiest way to get there is find the airport express, Tim Ho Wan is just a level or two below. I must say that it is kind of overrated? Well, i decided not to say anything because this is just how i am. I always think that everything is just okay like i have no excitements for anything hahaha all i can say is the Lo Mai Gai portion is very generous as well as the siew mai. Pork bun less in fillings. Chi Chong Fan slightly drier to my liking.

After dinner we went back to Tsim Sha Tsui to catch the Symphony of Lights but we were early so i went around to grab Hui Lau Shan, other must try at Hong Kong. Again and again i was disappointed haaahh i could barely taste the mango and price is crazy expensive!

Symphony of Lights was also a disappointment. Well, i thought it would be like Song of the Sea but turned out it's just a led show on a big screen? But still it's nice to just sit and enjoy the night view of Hong Kong.

Since i haven't bought anything for myself, i decided to go to Argyle Centre. To get there take MTR to Mongkok exit D2, Argyle Centre is just on your left. Argyle Centre is like Bugis Street in Singapore. They sell teenage clothings, shoes, etc. I've always wanted to get a knee-high boot ever since i arrived but i ended didn't buy any although they're so cheap hahaha. It's for 4 PM now, i haven't shower and starving haha so i guess it's the end of the post. Ciaobella!
